Recipe for pilaf in a microwave


This recipe has an advantage over the traditional way of cooking pilaf, as it takes much less time, but it is not less delicious. This recipe will appeal to all those who value their time and try to cook simply and effortlessly.


Cooking pilaf in a microwave oven

First of all it is necessary to prepare all ingredients:

  • Wash and cut the meat into small pieces, about 2 * 2cm;
  • Slice or chop the onion;
  • Carrots are easiest to grate on a large grater;
  • Peel the garlic and leave in the cloves;
  • Rice should be washed well, preferably several times.

When all the ingredients are prepared for pilaf, start cooking. Place the meat on a frying pan and fry together with the onion until it is crispy, add salt and red pepper to taste and put everything to a glass or ceramic container in which the pilaf will be cooked. Place cloves of garlic on top of a layer of fried meat and onions, sprinkle with spicy-aromatic seasoning for pilaf, add a little salt. Then spread the rice evenly, and on top of it grated carrots. Pour everything with boiling water. The amount of water is taken based on the amount of rice - 2 cups of rice and 2 cups of boiling water. Cover the dishes with a lid and place in the microwave. For this amount of cereal, at 900 watts, cooking takes about 15 minutes. If your microwave oven is less powerful, just increase the cooking time. At the end of the time, mix the pilaf and taste. If it needs to be cooked more, then put in the microwave for another 3 minutes.


How to serve pilaf


This recipe will never be able to compete with real pilaf cooked in a cauldron. However, its advantage is simplicity and speed of cooking. Pilaf is a self-sufficient dish, so fresh vegetable salads or pickles and tomatoes will taste best with it. Boiled beet salad is also good. Tomato juice will be appropriate for drinks. Bon appetit!
