When choosing a chicken in the store, make sure that the meat is fresh and has no odd odor. The dressed chicken should be thoroughly washed, removing feathers and excess membranes. Prepare the marinade. In a small bowl, pour the spicy-aromatic seasoning for chicken, add salt and dried basil, then crush the garlic cloves. Fill all this with vegetable oil and mix.

Divide the finished marinade into two parts - use one to coat the chicken from the inside, the other - from the outside. Grease the container in which the chicken will be roasted and place the dressed chicken there. Leave it to marinate for about 60 minutes. Once the chicken is marinated, place it in an oven preheated to 180 ° C. Roast it for 60 to 90 minutes (depending on the size of the chicken). While roasting, grease the chicken with the gravy that will be released during roasting.

Check the readiness of the dish by piercing the thigh of the chicken. The finished meat should produce a clear juice. You can serve roasted chicken alone or with a side dish. Boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes will go well with side dishes. Salad of fresh vegetables and greens is suitable. Serve young dry red wine with fried chicken as a drink.
